12-06-1990 Special Meeting® • CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 6, 19 89 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held Wednesday, December 6, 1989 in the City Hall Conference Roan. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Turville with the following Council Members in attendance: Council Member Norquist, Council Member Cole and Council Member Dupee. Also present was City Manager Saunders and Reverend Bruce Stewart. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR OPEN DOOR BAPTIST CHURCH Mayor Pro Tem Turville stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider a Conditional Use Permit request by Open Door Baptist Church for a temporary permit to operate a church in the old Ultra Precision Building on Grand Highway. As indicated at the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting held on Tuesday, December 5, 1989, the Ccanmission recommended approval of a three months temporary Conditional Use Permit. It was explained that the church has bought property north of Minneola on which to build a permanent building, and that this was only an interim location until the building was completed. 89-190 A MOTION WAS MADE BY COUNCIL MEMBER COLE, SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER NORQUIST AND UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED TO AMEND THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO REFLECT SIX MONTHS IN CASE OF BUILDING PROBLEMS. 89-191 A MOTION WAS THEN MADE BY COUNCIL MEMBER DUPEE, SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER COLE AND UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED TO APPROVE THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AS AMENDED. LIGHT POLE PRICES FOR PALATLARAHA RECREATION AREA City Manager Saunders stated that he had received prices on poles for the lighting of the fields at the new park. Hughes Supply will donate two 80' poles, which will be a savings of approximately $4,000 to the City and that they have given the City their "at cost" prices for the remainder of the poles, which is approximately $17,700. This price was compared to other pole suppliers at $22,000 and one lighting bidder had put in an alternate bid supplying the poles at $34,000. Mr. Saunders then requested authorization to accept the two donated poles from Hughes Supply and order the other needed poles at their cost. 89-192 A MOTION WAS MADE BY COUNCIL MEMBER NORQUIST, SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER DUPEE AND UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED TO ACCEPT THE TWO DONATED - POLES AND TO ORDER THE REMAINING POLES FROM HIIGHES SUPPLY. • • CITYOF CLERMONT MINUTES SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 6, 1989 PAGE -2- There being no further business or discussion, the meeting adjourned at 8:45 a.m. Robert A.
