Proclamation #2024-021P2024-021 P PROCIAMAITIOJV Whereas, in 1975, Congress voted to make November 11 " Veterans Day in honor of our veterans, living and dead, who have served in the armed forces; and Whereas, this day was designed to honor the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who have been vital in maintaining our freedoms and way of life; and Whereas, our veterans have fought to defend our country, its values, and its interests valiantly and selflessly; and Whereas, their courage and fortitude in the face of adversity should serve as an example for all Americans and we should recognize and respect their contributions and service; and Whereas, our liberty has survived and thrived because of generations of brave Americans, from every background and walk of life, that have answered the call to support and defend the United States; and Whereas, the people of this Nation are grateful to the veterans of our Armed Forces who have faithfully discharged the duties of citizenship and nobly served in times of national peril. WOW, 'Therefore, I, Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida, do hereby proclaim the 11 th of November, Two Thousand and Twenty Four as: "Veterans Day In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of Clermont to be affixed this 12th Day of November in the year Two Thousand and Twenty Four.
