Councilmen Beals, Byrd, Smoak and Schroede1. Other officials present were: City

City Manager Hopkins reported the applicants interviewed had been representative

recommendation, whereupon motion was made by Councilman Beals, seconded by
Councilman Byrd and unanimously carried that the City Manager be authorized to
execute the proposal for engineering services as submitted by Dawkins & Associates,
Inc.
It was consensus of Council that Councilman Smoak contact representatives of the
Blessed Sacrament Church with regards possible temporary use of their grove property
lying south of the treatment plant site for the city's spray irrigation project,
and that City Manager Hopkins present the cityls offer to purchase that property
owned by Peter H. Johnson in Johnson's Rep1at as soon as possible.
The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Smith.
