08-07-1975 Petition .- . , i.; .-~.~ cO',-,,- e e August 7, 1975 . We, the undersigned, homeowners in the Sunny Dell Manor, wish to present our objections to the propnsed roadway to run be- tween Minnehaha Drive and Hook Street, crossing the ends of our streets. '4. Listed below are some of these objections: 1. The present dead end streets are safer for our children and pets. 2. A road in that location wOuld soon be a hotrod allev between Clervue Drive-in and KacDonalds. . It is unfair for property owners adjoining the proposed road to have to pay 1/3 of the cost for a road built solely to enhance one man's property. It is totally unnecessary; nro~erty owners on the affected streets have not asked for it. Some owners bought their houses because of the quiet dead end str~et. 3. 5. The city has better uses for the estimated $40,000 to $50,000 it would cost to put in the street. The runoff of water from an elevated road would endanger homes adjoining as well as add to the present problems on Hook Street. 6.
