A speoial meeting of the City Council of the City of
Clermont was held in the offioe of the City Clerk on
Monday, Augu at 29 , 1960.
The meeting was called to order at 5:15 P. M. by
Council chairman G. Y. Middleton with all Council
members present with the exception of Mr. C. C.
Christensen. Representatives of Farm & Home Machinery
CompaDY of Orlando were also present.
Chairman Middleton stated that the purpose of the meeting
was to consider bids on the purohase of 4,500 feet of siX
inoh asbestos-cement pipe and asked clerk Johnson to open
and read bids.
Clerk Johnson read bids as follows:
Southern Pipe aDd SupplY Company of Orlando @ 1.58 per foot.
Industrial Supply Corp. of Tampa @ 1.58 per foot.
Farm & Home Machinery Co. of Orlando @ $1.565 per foot.
Motion was made by Roe, seconded by York and carried
that the low bid of 1.565 submitted by Farm & Home Machinery
Company be accepted and that the Purchasing agent be
authorized to issue a purchase order for same.
Roe, seconded by Bishop and carried that meeting
