SPECIAL MEETING

A special meeting of the City Council of the City
of Clermont was held in the office of the City Clerk on
Tuesday - April 26, 1960. The meeting was called to order
at 10:30 A.M. by Council Chairman, G. Y. Middleton, with the
following Council members present: Middleton, Bishop & York.
Absent: Roe and Christenson. Others present were: Mayor Bon
Jorn, Inspector Snyder, Clerk Johnson, Mr. Arthur George and
Mr. Bowers.
Chr. Middleton stated that the purpose of the meeting
was to consider granting exceptions to the Building - Electrical
and Plumbing Codes, as they applY to the moving of five re-
sidences in the Lincoln Park area.
Motion was made by Mr. York, seconded by Mr. Bishop and
carried, that in view of the fact that an emergency exists,
and the Council not wishing to hinderethe progress of the con-
struction of new school facilities in the Lincoln Park area,
that the City Council grant exception to the Building - Electrical
and Plumbing Codes to make possible the moving of five residences
in the Lincoln Park Area. It being understood that the five
residences to be moved will be completed on their new location
with the same facilities as they originally had. The exception
to this permission is that the ho~se of Henry Rhodes which is

lavatory, and, that the plumbing connections to all five houses
are to be made by a Master Plumber licensed by the City of Clermont
The Council members also wish it to be a matter of record that no
exception of like nature be made in the future.
Motion was made by Mr. Bishop, seconded by Mr. York and
carried, that meeting adjourn.
