The City Council ot the City ot Clermont. sitting as a Board
of Equalization. met at the city hall on Friday. September 6.
1957.
The meeting was oalled to order by Oouncil President Harold
Turnlle at 7130 P. M. with all Council msmbers present. others
present were lIayor Keene, City attorney Morse and numerous
Citilen's.

Mr. T. C. Cork, representing lIr. Charlie Poole, protested an
increase i~ the valuation ot ceTtain ot Mr. Poole's properties.
No adjustment was granted.
Mr. T. C. Cork, representing Yr. G. T. Crowe, protested the amount
ot the valuation plaoed on the home of Mr. Crowe. No adjustment
was granted.
Mr. T. ,C. Cork, representing Mr. Seamour Meadows, protested the
inertease in valuation on oertain ot Mr. Meadow's property. No
adjustment was granted.
Mr. T. C. Cork, representing Mr. J. G. Yancy, protest.d~:the valuation
plaoed on Mr. Yancy's home. No adjustment was granted.
111'. Clayton Weir, representing Mr. William Omvalt, protested the
increase in valuation ot certain ot Mr. Oswalt's property.
No adjustment was granted.
Mr. Glen Middleton, '"IPresenting himselt, Oscar T. Cook, Sr.
and Mattie T. Cook, protested the valuations plaoed on their properties
in Shady Nook and that arsa. No adjustment was granted.
Mr. Irving Morse. representing O'neal, protested the increased
valuations placed on properties in Highlands Estate, Sunset Heights,
and Woodlawn. No adjustment was grated.
Mr. Irving Morse, representing Mr. Collette, protested increased
valuations Oft certain ot Mr. Colette's property. No adjustment
was granted.
Mr. Botherson protested the valuation placed on lot 10, in a
subdivision being developed by ~.:}1]-...~~icker~~n!the lorida Towers
area. It was detennined by the Board ot Adjustment that an error
had been made in the valuatioft should bave been based on ~5.00 per
front toot and not $10.00 as shown on the roll. The same error
applied to lot 11 owned by Mr. Parrent. The error was ordered
corrected.
Mr. K. B. McDonald protested the valuation plaoed on a part ot his
citrus grove where high water bad damaged the trees. Mr. Chas Roe
was requested to investigate the matter.
Clerk Johnson read a letter trom William Kern protesting the valuatiolll
placed on W60' ot NlSO' ot lot 1, Block "0". No adjustment granted.
Cl'l"k Johnson read a letter trom Mr. JosltPh Holzberger protesting the
valuation placed onbis new Bome. Ner'adjustment was granted.

Clerk Johnson read a letter trom Mr. William Boyd protesting
the valuation placed on lots 5 Ii 6, Rerring Rooks Estate. No
adjustment was granted.
Clerk Johnson read a letter from Eugene Jackson protesting tbe
valuation placed on lot 31, Block 2, Homedala. No adjustment
was granted.
Clerk Johnson read a letter from Mrs. Robert Zeigl;er protesting
the valuation placed on her bome at 991 Montrose street.
No adjustment was granted.
