03-11-1957 Special Meeting Minutes of a SPECIAL MEETING OF CLERMONr CITY COUNCIL March 11, 1957 .. Mayor Keene informed the members of the Council that Mr. Dayton Blackford had stated that he would like to apply for a position as patrolman on the Clermont Police Department. He will accept a salary of $275.00 per month. No action taken on this matter. Discussion followed as to the retention of Mr. Ernest Cash as a patrolman in the Clermont Police Department. In view of the fact that Mr. Cash lives outside of the City limit s it was considered that this interfere s with efficient and satisfactoru performance of his duties a8 a patrolman. Chief of Police Alton Parker was questioned as to Mr. Cash's performance of his duties as patrolman. After further discussion it was moved by Van Nostrand and seconded by Roe that Mr. Ernest Cash be given notice of dismissal from the Clermont Police Department, dating from March 11, 1957, Mr. Cash to serve with pay until March 26, 1957, from March 26, 1957 through March 31, 1957 to be off duty and paid for accumulated leave, and to be separated from the Clermont Police Department as of April 1, 1957. The roll call vote on the foregofng motion was as follows: Roe, yes; Bishop, no; Van Nostrand, yes; Carrington, yes; and Turville, yes. Mayor Keene was requested to notify Mr. Cash of the action taken by the City Council. The m~eting was then adjourned. ..
