HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2025-022Rd' CLERMONT CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTION NO. 2025-022R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 4: COMPENSATION/SALARY ADMINISTRATION, SECTION 4.8 STORM OR OTHER DISASTER PAY AND LEAVE OF THE EMPLOYMENT POLICIES MANUAL; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Clermont City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Clermont, that changes be made to the Employment Policies Manual. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont, Florida, Lake County, Florida as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Clermont does hereby amend the Employment Policies Manual effective July 29, 2025 as set forth in Attachment A, attached hereto and incorporated herein and attached to this Resolution; and SECTION 2: SEVERABILITY If any portion of this Resolution is declared invalid, the invalidated portion shall be severed from the remainder of the Resolution, and the remainder of the Resolution shall continue in full force and effect as if enacted without the invalidated portion, except in cases where such continued validity of the remainder would clearly and without doubt contradict or frustrate the intent of the Resolution as a whole. SECTION 3: PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. Storm Deployment The City of Clermont participates in the State Wide Mutual Aid system. This system provides for movement of local government resources throughout the state during times of disasters to assist other government agencies (e.g. police officers, firefighters). If approved by the City Manager, employees who participate in this system may be compensated (portal to portal) beginning at the time of dispatch to the return to jurisdiction when equipment and personnel are in service and available for agency response.
