SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was
held in the office of the City Clerk on Tuesday, April 14, 1964. In
the absence of Mayor BonJorn, the meeting was called to order by Council
President Norris Hutchingson at 10:15 A. M. All Council members were
present as well as City Clerk Albert Johnson.
Motion: was made by Mr. Hoskinson, seconded by Mr. York and unanimously
carried that the rule of written notice for special meetings be waived
and that the City Council be in session to consider the business for
which the meeting was called.
Mr. Hoskinson presented a Resolution pertaining to the sale of
certain City owned property located in Block l25A, Sunset Park Subdivision
and moved its adoption.
The RESOLUTION was read by the Clerk and Mr. York seconded its adoption.
When the vote was taken on the adoption of the RESOLUTION the result was
as follows:
YEAS: Hutchingson, York, Hoskinson and Pool.
NAj'S: None
Abstaining: Turville
So the RESOLUTION was adopted and No. ~a assigned to it and was
ordered placed in Resolution Book Page 45, and ordered posted.
TOTAL YEAS: 4
Councilman Turville stated that his reason for abstaining from
voting on the Resolution was that he was opposed to the sale as he had
indicated by his vote at the meeting held March 27, 1964, but that he
was in agreement that the property offered for sale had been improperly
described and that Lot 11, Block l25A Sunset Park Subdivision was included
in the sale insofar as the intention of the City Council was concerned.
