08-25-1964 Adjourned Meeting . e MINUTES N? 169 ADJOURNED I''IEETING An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont, sitting as a Board of Equalization, was held in the City Administration Building on Tuesday, August 25, 1964. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Bonjorn at 7:30 P. M. with all Council members present. Others present were City Attorney Roy Caldwell, City Clerk Johnson and representa- tives of the Orlando Sentinel and the local press. A few visitors were also present. Mayor BonJorn explained to the Council that the previous meeting of the City Council, sitting as a Board of Equalization, had been adjourned due to the fact that one of its members had been unable to attend. Mayor BonJorn further stated that all Council members were now present and that the meeting could proceed. Following considerable discussion, consideration of individual complaints and comparison of property values and valuation, motion was made by Mr. Hutchingson, sl~conded by Mr. Hoskinson that all Commercial land increases as recommended by Hunnicutt and Associates, appraisers for the City Tax Assessor, be reduced by twenty five percent as such reduction will bring the appraised value of the land to that which is considered full cash value. On a Roll Call vote the result was: YEAS: Hutchingson, Hoskinson and Pool NAYS: Turville and York and the motion was carried by a majority vote. Motion was made by Mr. Hutchingson, seconded by Mr. Pool that the land value of the property owned by Fifty-Twenty Seven Plaza be reduced by twenty five percent as such reduction will bring the appraised value of the land to that which :1.s considered full cash value. On Roll Call vote the result was: YEAS: Hutchingson, Pool and Hoskinson NAYS: Turvi11e and York and the motion was carried by a majority vote. Motion was made by Mr. Pool, seconded by Mr. Hutchingson that the 1964 Tax Roll stand co~irmed as submitted by the Tax Assessor and adjusted by the Board of Equalization. On Roll Call vote the result was: YEAS: Hutchingson, Hoskinson, Pool. NAYS: York and Turville and the motion carried by a majority vote. Motion by Mr. Pool, seconded by Mr. Hutchingson, and carried, that meeting adjourn. , lem
