SPECIAL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont, called
by the Mayor and with each Council member being notified by written notice
on the day preceding the meeting, was held in the office of the City Clerk
on Monday, January 19, 1965 at- 10:20 A. M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor BonJorn with all Councilmen
present with the exception of Mr. Hoskinson. Others present were City Clerk
Johnson, Mr. Richard Langley and a representative of the Orlando Sentinel.
Mayor BonJorn stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the
letter of resignation submitted by Mr. Roy Caldwell. .
Motion was made by Mr. York, seconded by Mr. Turville, and carried, that
the resignation submitted by Mr. Caldwell be accepted and become effective
January 31, 1965.
Mayor BonJorn introduced Mr. Richard Langley to the Council and stated that
he had applied for the position of City Attorney. Mr. Langley was asked
numerous questions and was advised that his application would have full con-
sideration.
The Council members were in agreement that other applicants should be
considered and Mayor BonJorn and/or City Clerk Johnson were requested to
contact Messrs. Irving Morse, William Lee and George Hovis and determine if
they were interested. in the position.
Motion was made by Mr. York, seconded by Mr. Turville, and carried, that
the meeting adjourn.
