Whereas, the South Lake Art League is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to
promoting visual arts and enriching the cultural fabric of the South Lake community; and
Whereas, the League actively supports the City of Clermont by providing artwork for
city buildings, public spaces, and special initiatives, including art for the police
department's children's advocacy room and the arch for the Fallen Heroes 5K; and
Whereas, the League fosters community engagement through free art activities for both
children and adults, bringing accessible art experiences to local events and residents of all
ages; and
Whereas, the League invests in the next generation of artists by sponsoring exhibits
and shows that showcase the work of elementary, middle, and high school students; and
Whereas, the League expands its impact by providing art programming at senior
housing facilities and elementary summer school programs, while contributing to the city's
economic vitality through the promotion of public art;
Wow, Therefore, I,Tim Murry,Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the 1 Sc of November, Two Thousand and Twenty-Five as:
South Lake Art League Day
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Clermont to be affixed this 1 st Day of November in the year Two Thousand and
Twenty-Five.
