Whereas, as a community that is committed to celebrating our diversity, the City of
Clermont is proud to join in the national celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month together
with Better Life Worship Center of Clermont, Florida to recognize the contributions and
accomplishments of Hispanic Americans; and
Whereas, Hispanic Americans have had a lasting impact on the United States, helping
to make our nation, state, region and community stronger; and
Whereas, in Clermont, Hispanic Americans represent numerous and distinct cultures,
shaping our community into a vibrant, welcoming city; and
Whereas, this year's national Hispanic Heritage Month theme is "Collective Heritage:
Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future,"which showcases the diversity as well as the unity
within the Hispanic community; and
Whereas, Hispanic Heritage Month provides us the opportunity to learn about the
cultures that have helped to shape our country, reminding us that cultural heritage is
something that must be recognized, celebrated and shared; and
Whereas, as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, our community reaffirms its
collective commitment to inclusion as we continue our efforts to ensure that every single
person who calls our city home feels equally valued and has equitable access to
opportunities that help them thrive.
Wow, Therefore, I,Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the month of September 15 —October 15, Two Thousand and Twenty-
Five as:
Hispanic -Wreritage .Month
In Witness 'Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Clermont to be affixed this 4th Day of October in the year Two Thousand and
Twenty-Five.
