Whereas, International Women's Day, observed annually on March 8, is a global
celebration recognizing the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of
women and girls throughout history and across all nations; and
Whereas, women have played a vital role in shaping our community through leadership
in government, business, education, healthcare, public safety, the arts, science, and
volunteer service; and
Whereas, the City of Clermont recognizes the invaluable contributions of women who
work tirelessly to strengthen families, build businesses, mentor youth, and serve our
residents with dedication and compassion; and
WhereaS, International Women's Day also serves as an opportunity to acknowledge
the ongoing pursuit of equality and to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that all women
and girls have access to opportunities that allow them to thrive and reach their full potential;
and
Whereas, by celebrating the achievements of women and supporting their continued
advancement, we help create a stronger, more inclusive, and more prosperous community
for all residents.
Notiv, wherefore, I,Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the 8th of March, Two Thousand and Twenty-Six as:
International'Women's Day
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Clermont to be affixed this 10th Day of March in the year Two Thousand and
Twenty-Six.
