Whereas,testicular cancer is the leading cancer in men between ages 15 to 44, although
it can occur at any age from infancy to elderly; and
Whereas, according to Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation, approximately 9,720
individuals will be diagnosed in 2026 with testicular cancer in the United States; and
Whereas, according to Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation, approximately 600
deaths will occur in 2026 caused by testicular cancer in the United States; and
Whereas, public awareness can increase early detection; and
Whereas, if detected early, testicular cancer is over 95% curable; and
Whereas, early-stage testicular cancer can be detected by performing monthly self-
exams; and
Whereas, it is important to recognize those that have been affected by testicular
cancer.
NO'W, Therefore, I,Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the month of April, Two Thousand and Twenty-Six as:
