SPECIAL MEETING
A Special meeti~g of the City Council of the City of Clermont was
held in the office of the City Man~ge~ on Tuesday, November 23i 1965.
The meeting was called to order at 11.: 30 A. M. with all Councilmen
present with the exception of Mr. Pool. Others present were City Man~ger
Harold McIntosh and City Clerk John'son.
Clerk Johnson reported that petitions had been filed for the offices
of Mayor, Councilman, Group 2 and Councilman Group 4, subject to the
General Election of the City of C,lerrnont to be held December 7, 1965;
that the petitions had been thoroughly checked and certified to be in order
and that the nominating petitions'were as follows:
For Mayor:
JOSEPH BONJORN
CHARLES BUDDY KEENE
For Counci lman, Group 2:,
RAYMOND P. COCHRAJ:irE
JAMES C'e' FREEMAN
RICaARD E. OSWALT
For Councilman Group 4:
ERNBS'f O. HeDGE
GEORGE F. KARST
J. M. VANDERMEER
Motion was made by Mr. York, seconded by Mr. Beals and unanimously
carried, that the petitions were found to be in order; that the candidates
be declaredqualifiedi that the City Clerk and/or Supervisor of Registration
be authorized to have the 'necessary ballots prepared for absentee'voters
and voting machines and that voting machines be used in the General Election
to be held on December 7, 1965.' '
Motion ~.,as made by Mr. York, seconded by Mr. Beals and carried, that
the following named persons be appointed to serve on the Election Board of
the General' Election bei~g held on December 7, 1965.

Inspectors: Robert Ingersol, Joseph House, John McCown and Donald
Hayes/ '
Motion was made by Mr. Turville, seconded by Nr. York, and carried,
that meeting adjourn.
