03-25-1966 Special Meeting . - MINUTES N~ 348 SPECIAL MEETING A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held in the office of the City Manager on Friday, March 25, 1966. In the absence of Mayor BonJorn the meeting was called to order at 11:00 o'clock A. M. by Mayor Pro Tern James Hoskinson. All Council members were present with the exception of Mr. Beals. Others present were City Manager McIntosh, City Attorney Langley, City Director of Building Snyder, City Clerk Johnson, Mr. Hill Stiggins, Architect for the City, and Mr. Spikes, a private contractor. Motion was made by Mr. Cochran, seconded by Mr. VanderMeer, and carried, that a "change orderll be issued regarding the work being done on the Jenkins Auditorium whereby the steps to the stage will be corrected and the steps at the fire exit be changed from outside of the building to inside of the building. The changes to be subject to the cost being satisfactory to the City Council. Mr. VanderMeer, of the Building and Zoning Committee, presented a Resolution pertaining to the preparation of an Ordinance amending Section 5-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clermont and moved its adoption. The Resolution was read by the City Attorney and Mr. Cochran seconded its adoption. When the vote was taken on the adoption of the Resolution the result was: YEAS: Cochran, VanderMeer, Hoskinson and Turville. TOTAL YEAS: 4 NAYS: None ABSENT: Beals So the Resolution as read was adopted and No. 69 was assigned to it and ordered placed in the Resolution Book, page Ill, and ordered posted. Mr. Turville of the Finance, Laws and Personnel Committee presented for passage a proposed Ordinance No. 20-C, the same being AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 5-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTED ON MARCH 25~ ~~66, and the Ordinance was read in full the first time and the Chairman referred same to the Building & Zoning Committee. Mr. VanderMeer of the Building & Zoning Committee stated that Ordinance No. ~O-C was prepared at the direction of his committee by the Finance, Laws and Personnel Committee and the City Attorney, and asked that same be taken up at this time. Mr. Turville moved that the rules be waived and Ordinance No. tO~G be read a second time by title only. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cochran and agreed to unanimously and Ordinance No. 20-C was read a second time by title only. Mr. Cochran moved that the rules be further waived and Ordinance No. ~O~~ be read a third time by title only and placed upon its passage. The motion was seconded by Mr. VanderMeer and unanimously carried and Ordinance No. 2D-C was read a third time by title only. . . MINUTES N~ 349 When the vote was taken on the passage of Ordinance No. ~~-C the result was: YEAS: VanderMeer, Turville, Cochran and Hoskinson. TOTAL YEAS: Four NAYS: None ABSENT: Beals So Ordinance No. to-C passed, title as stated, and No. aa-c was assigned to it and ordered immediately placed in the Ordinance book of the City of Clermont and a copy ordered posted.
