SPECIAL MEETING
A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont
was held in the office of the City Manager on Wednesday, June 1, 1966.
The meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M..by Mayor BonJorn with all
CQunci~'members present. Others present .~sre City Attorney Langley and
Ci€y Clerk Johsson.
Mayor BonJorn advised the Council that Mr. Haroid McIntosh, the
City Manager, was absent from his duties and that all indications were
that he had resigned although a formal letter to that effect had not
been received. Mayor BonJorn further stated that the purpose of the
meeting was to appoint some City official to perform the duties 'of the
City Manager until such time as the intentions of Mr. McIntosh could
be definitely determined.
Mr. Cochran presented a Resolution pertaining to the appointment
of a City officer to perform the duties of the City Manager and moved
its adoption. The Resolution was read by the Clerk and Mr. Turville
seconded its adoption.
When the vote was taken on the adoption of the resolution the
result was:
YEAS: Turville, Cochran and VanderMeer
NAYS: Beals
ABSTAINING: Hoskinson
So the Resolution as read was adopted and Number 76 assigned to
it and ordered placed in the Resolution Book page 119 and ordered posted.
Motion was made by Mr. VanderMeer and seconded by Mr. Cochran
that the City Attorney contact Mr. Harold McIntosh and determine his
intentions as regards his possible resignation and to advise Mr.
McIntosh that in the event that he should resign from his position
with the City that the City Council had authorized two weeks vacation pay
even though he had not been in the employ of the city for a full year.
The motion failed to carry.
Motion was made by Mr. Hoskinson and seconded by Mr. Beals that
the City Attorney contact Mr. McInto$h and endeavor to determine his
intentions with regards to his resignation. The motion carried.
