",!f.t fit .....J. . l"~ -.,,' " SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held in the City Administration Building on Tuesday, September 11, 1962. The meeting was called to order at 7:30'P. M. with all members of the Council present. Mayor Bon Jorn, Superintendent Sheldon, and Mr. Forrest Colegrove were also present. Mr. Colegrove spoke to the Council regarding a program of improved street lighting. Councilman York recommended that funds be provided in the budget for starting such a program during the next fiscal year. The remainder of the Councilmen were in agreement and funds were tentatively placed in the budget for that purpose. Clerk Johnson read a letter from Mrs. C. C. Dorsey requesting permission to use the ball field, on East Avenue, for a Girl Scout CampFire on Monday evening, September 24, 1962. Motion was'made by Mr. Pool, seconded by Mr. York, and carried, that Mrs. Dorsey be granted permission to 'use the ball field as reque~ted. Clerk Johnson openedrand read bids on the construction of a pump house as follows: Glenn Middleton, $1954.00; Charles Butt, $1456.00; C. R. Keene, $1295.10. The bid submitted by Mr. Keene was not according to specifications and motion was made by Mr. Pool, seconded by Mr. Bishop and carried, that Charles Butt be awarded the contract for the construction of the pump house. Clerk Johnson op.ened and read bids on the electrical wiring of a pump house as follows: Brantly Electric Company, $960.00. . Motion by Mr. York, seconded by Mr. Turville and carried, that Brantly...- Electric Company be awarded the contract for the electrical wiring of the p~p house. Clerk Johnson read a letter from Mrs. Robinson, President of the Junior Women's Club requesting that the City make available to them the amount of $300.00 for the operation of the Highlander Hut during th~ next fiscal year. The Council was in agreement that the amount requested should tentatively be included in the 1962-63 budget. Chairman Boyd called a special meeting for Thursday, September 13, 1962, for the purpose of adopting the Tax Roll and completing the budget. Meeting adjourned. Illf/!r;Lrman
