SPECIAL MEETING
A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of
Clermont was held at the City hall, Monday, December
12, 1955.
.
The meeting was called to order by Council President,
E. G. Winston, at 2:00 P. M. with the following members
present. Winston, Grant and Olivenbaum. Absent: Konsler
and Beals.
Chai~an Winston stated that the purpose of the meeting
was the inspection and preparation of the ballot box.
The ballot box was inspected and prepared for the general
ele~tion to be held December 13, 1955, and the keys turned
over to deputy officer Fullwood.
E3::erltJJohnson informed the Council that two of the persons,
Mrs. Ralph Harper and Mrs. Jeannie Ord, previously appointed
as Inspectors for the general election to be held December
13, 1955, would not be able to serve and suggested that
Mrs. Mary Turbeville and Mr. Ralph Ferris be appointed in
their place.
Motion was made by Olivenbaum, seconded by Grant and
carried that Mrs. Mary Turbeville and Mr. Ralph Ferris
be ap'" ointed as Inspectors of the General election to be
held December 13, 1955.
Motion by Grant, seconded by Olivenbeum and carried that
meeting adjourn.

NOTICE OF REGISTRATION OF VOTERS

NOTIQE is hereby given that the Begristration books for
the City of Clermont will be open Novemper 7, 1955, for
the regristration of voters who wish to participate in the
general election of the City of Clermont to be held Tuesday,
December 13, 1955, and such books will be open to and
including 5 P. M. December 5, 1955, during the r&asonable
business hours of each business day. '
It is not necessar,y for persons who are already registered
to register again, but attention is called to the fact
that registration in the County Registration Books
does not qualify a voter to participate in the City of
Clermont general election.

The general election of the City of Clermont
Shall be held in the city hall on the second
Tuesdar of December 1955, the same being
December 13, 1955, between the hours of 8:00
A. M. and Sunset Eastern Standard Time.
The purpose of this Election is to elect
A Mayor to serve for one year;
A I'reasurer to serve for one year;
and Two (I) members of the City
Council to serve a term of two
years.
