Regularly Adjourned Meeting
An Adjourned meeting of the city Council of the City of Clermont
was held at the city hall, Tuesday, October 18, 1955.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Council
President E. G. Winston with all Council members being
pre sent. other s pre-sent were May or Boyd, Supt. She Idon,
City attorney Morse and Mr. F'ed Cochrane.
The minutes of the meeting held October 4, 1955, were read
and approved.
Mr. Fred Cochrane stated that since highway "50 I' had been
constructed that it was impossible to get in to his property
and reque sted that the city provide a "turn-out n to his
property.
Motion was made by Konsler, seconded by Olivenbaum and carried
that the city provide a "turn-oui1" and grade an entrance to
the property in question, as requested by Mr. Cochrane.
Mr. Konsler, of the Streets Committee, reported that the
South end of Grand Highway was badly in neea of repairs.
It was decided that nothing could be done about the matter
until the county repaired and curbed their side.
Mr. Beals, of the Street lighting committee, recommended
and moved that eight street lights be provided in the Lake
View Subdivision area. The motion was seconded by Mr. Olivenbaum
and carr ied.
Motion by Konsler, seconded by Grant and carried, that lots
10 & 11 and that parts of 8 & 9 lying South of State Road
"50", all in Bloack l25A, Sunset Park, Indian Hills, be
offered to the American Legion for $500.00, with the deed
providing that said lots are to be used by the American
Legion for the location of a Club, or meeting house, only
and not for speculative purposes.
Motion by Konsler, seconded by Grant and carried that the
lease to John G. Yancy that Lake frontage across the steeet
from lots 2-3-4-5&6, Block 3, at the usual price of $1.00;
the lease to be the standard 10 year lease.
Motion by Konsler, seconded by Olivenbaum and carried
that the clerk advertise for bids on the purchase of one
diesel crawler tractor. Bids to be opened Novmmber 1, 1955,
terms to be 50% cash on deliver and balance twelve months
from that dat e .
Motion by Olivenbaum, seconded by Konsler and carried
that the clerk advertise for bids on the purchase of two (2)
two-ton standard trucks with rear dual wheels and equipped
with 7/50 tires in fron and 8/25 tires in the rear.
Terms to be cash on delivery. Bids to be opened November
1, 1955.

Motion by Olivenbaum, seconded by Konsler and carried that
Mr. Olivenbaum proceed with arrangement s to place city employees
under Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance with the beginning
of the fiscal year.
Mr. Winston was instructed to have blue prints made of the
plans for the addition to the community building ~ order that
the city might advertise for bids on the construction.
Motion by Konsler, seconded by Olivenbaum and carried that
the meeting adjourn until Friday, October 21, 1955, at
7:00 P.
