ADJOURNED MEETING

An adj ou.ened meeting of the city Council of the
city of Clermont w~s held at the city hall, Thursday,
August 25, 1955.
The meeting was called to order by Council President,
E. G. Winston, at 7:30 P. M.with the following
members present: Winston, Olivenbaum, Konsler and
Beals. Others present were mayor Boyd, Supt. Sheldon,
and Mr. Walter Milko of Bess Construction Co.
Chairman Winston stated that the first order of
business was the opening of bids for the construction
of a foundadtion for the new water tank on Highlands
avenue. Clerk Johnson read a bid from Bess Construction
Company, offering to construct the foundadion at a .
cost of Ninteen Hut).dred and Eighty dollars and thirty
six cents ($1,980.)6), and a bid from South Lake
Construction Company, offering to construct the foundadion
at a cost of One Thousand Three Hundred and Eighty
Five dollars ($1,385.00) with a unit price of $35.00
per cubic yard for all concrete used over the noted
in the specificat ions.
Motion was made by Beals, seconded ~y Konsler and carried
that the contract be awarded to South Lake Construction
Company at the bid price of Thirteen Hundred and Eighty
Five dollars. Motion carried.
Motion by Konsler, seconded by Beals and carried that
a cement curbing be installed on the South side of Pine
Lane in Oak View Subdivision in connection wit~ and as
a part of the street which is to be paved; it being
understood that the cost of the curb is to be paid by
the city.
Motion by Olivenbaum, seconded by Beals and unanamously
carried that the present Police force take care of the
necessary work in connection with the Parking meters,
and that no additional help be engaged at this time.
Motion by Beals, seconded by Olivenbaum and carried
that ~he office of the city clerk continue closing all
d~ Saturday until further instruction by the Council.
Motion by Beals, seconded by Olivenbaum and carried
that meeting adjourn until Monday evening, August
29, 1955 at 7:30 P. M.
