A regular meeting of the city Council of the city of Clermont was held
at the city hall, August 2, 1955. The meeting was called to order by
Council President, E. G. Winston, at 7:~0 P. M. with the following
members present; Winston, Olivenbaum, Grant and Konsler. Absent: Beals.
Others present were Mayor Boyd, City attormey Morse, Supt. Sheldon,
Police Chief Clark, Mr. Perryman of R. D. Cole Manufacturing Co, and
Mr. Whitmire of Whitmmre Tank Co.
The minutes of the meeting held J ly 19, 1955 and the Special meeting
held July 26, 1955 were read and approved.
Mr. Whitmire and Mr. Perryman spoke to the Council relative to selling
a new water tank. After numerous questions they were requested to submit
their sealed bids. The bids submitted were as follows: For one 190,000
gallon water tank on a 100 foot tower Whitmire Tank Co bid $20,840.00,
and R. D. Cole Manufacturing Co, bid $19,940.00.
Motion was made by Konsler, seconded by Olivenbaum and carried that
the bid made by R. D. Cole Mfg. Co be accepted and that the city enter
into an agreement with them for the purchase o'r the tank delivered
and errected at a price of $19,940.00, it being understood that the
city is to provide and construct the foundadtion according to
specifications furnished by said R. D. Cole M~g. Co.
Motion was made by Konsler, seconded by Olivenbaum and carried that
Supt. Sheldon be authorized to proceed with the paving at South Lake
Memorial Hospital at a cost not to exceed $12,00.00.

Motion by Konlser, seconded by Grant ,and carried that the Clerk be '
authorized to pay to South Lake Mem~rial Hospital the amount of
$500.00 as provided in the budget. '
Motion by Grant, seconded by Konsler and carried that J. B. Fullwood
be sent to Canton, Ohio, to take the Parking Meter repair and maintenance
course, at the expense of Dual Parking Meter Co., Canton, Ohio.
Mr. Konsler o(fered, and moved that it be passed, a RESOLUTION
providing for the paving of Pine Lane in Oak View subdivision. The
motion was seconded by Mr. Olivenbaum and upo~ roll call vote the
ayes were Winston, 01ivenbaum, Grant and Konsler. No: none.' Absent :Beals.
A copy of the Resolution in full appears following these minutes.
Clerk Johnson read a letter from Mr. Gary Viti, relative to obtainin
a lease on lake frontage at the foot of second street.
Motion was made by Konsler, seconded by Grant that the clerk inform Mr.
Viti that it has not been the policy of the Council to lease any
lake front property at the foot of any street to any person, and that,
therefore, his appiication for a lease is refused. That Mr. Viti be
furth~r informed that the leases granted by the city, which he mentions,
are in each case for lake frontage to abutting property owners and in no
case at the foot of a street. That Mr. Viti be further informed that if
he desires to construct a dock at the foot of second street Btreeb that
the city will give him permission to do so, but that he is to fUlly under-
stand that the dock will be public property, open to the use of the
general public, but that a boat house will not be allowed and that the
property will not be under lease to him. Motion carried.
Motion by Grant, seconded by Olivenbaum that bills be paid.

Motion by Konsler, seconded by Olivenbaum, that, when specifications
for the water tower foundation are received from R. D. Cole Mfg. Co,
that the clerk is authorized and directed to advertise for bids in the
local newspaper for the construction of said foundadtion. Motion carried.
Motion by Kons1er, se onded by Olivenbaum that meeting adjourn.

land hereinafter described, .nd being situate within the City

If there be no complaint, the assessmen'ts as originally
