12-30-1954 Special Meeting SPECIAL MEETING ~ ., A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Clrmont wag held at the city hall Thurllday, December 30, 1954. The meeting wag called to order at 7:30 P. M. with the following members present: Geor~, Olivenbaum, Konsler and Win.ton. Absent: Sickler. Mayor Boyd,aCity attorney Morse and Supt. Sheldon were alao preaent. President George stated that it wag necesaary that the Council canvas the return8 of the Special Election held December 28th, 1954. After checking the ballota, motion wag made by Winston, seconded by Olivenbaum, that it i. RESOLVED that the certificate of reault of the Special Election of the city of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, be received in the minutes and made a part thereof, Be It FUrther RESOLVED that in accordance with the resulto of the Special Election Jam~. Ellia Konsler be and is hereby dec~ared elected .~ apmembe~~~f the City Council of the City of Clermont, for a term of one year commencing on the first Tuesday of January, 1955. It is further declared that upon qualification of said Rimi. Elli. Kon.ler elected as afore8aid, that he .hall assume the duties of auch office and hold the same and perform the duties thereof for the term of one year. Mr. Olivenbaum offered and moved that it be passed, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAX FOR ALL ELECTRICIANS OR ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS; REQUIRING EXJJ!lNATION AND PAYMENT OF ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES AS A CONDITION PRECEDENT TO THE ISSUANCE OF THE LICENSE; REPEALING PARAGRAPH 109 OF SECTION '7, CHAPTER XI OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, INCLUDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF, , which Ordinance was read in full. The motion wag seconded by Mr. Konsler and unanamou8ly carried. Mr. Konsler moved that the rules be waived and that the Ordinance be read the second time by title only. The motion was seconded by Mr. Olivenbaum and unanamously carried. After the second reading, by title only, Mr. Winston moved that the rules be further waived and that the Ordinance be placed upon it. pallsage. Mr. Olivenbaum offered and moved that it be paosed, AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NATIONAL-ELECTRIC CODE AND PROVISIONS FOR ~XAMANATION OF APPLICIANTS FOR LICENSES AS ELECTRICIANS AND FOR A BOARD OF EXAMINERS A;~D ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR AND DEFINING THEIR DUTIES; REGULATING THE SUPPLY OF ELECTRIC CURRENT TO NEW INSTALLATIONS, AND PROVIDING FOR REVOCATION OP LICENSE OF FLECTRICIANS UPON NAMED CONDITIONS AND REQUIRING ELECTRICAL WORK PERMITS, JIND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THEREfO,", which Ordinance was read in full. The motion was secomded by Mr. Win. ton and unanamoualy carried. Mr. Winaton then moved that the rulea be waived and that the Ordinance be read the aecond time by title only. The motion wag aeconded by Mr. Konsler and una~Qusly sarried. After the aecond reading,by title only, Mr. Olivenbaum moved that the rulea be further waived and that the Ordinance be placed upon its pa.sage. Mr. Olivenbaum offered and moved that it be passed AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR STREETS, ALmYS, AND ROADWAYS TO, THROUGH AND FROM SUBDIVISIONS AND FOR DRAINAGE IN THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, BEFORE PLATS THEREOF SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF CLERMONT O.K ITS' AUTHORIZED OTj'FICERS, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND OTHER i.1ATTERS RELATING T~RETO which Ordinance was read in full. The motionwas seconded by Mr. Konsler and unanamously carried. Mr. Winston moved that the rules be waived and that the Ordinance be read the second time by title only. Motion was made by Konsler, .eondded by Olivenbaum that the Major and City clerk be directed to exec.te a deed prepared by city attorney Morse, conveying the fractional parts of lot. 7, 8 & 9 lying South of R/W of State Road 50; and all of lot 10, all being in Block 7, Sunnyside Unit, Clermont Heighta, Plat Bk 8, pages 66 & 67, Public records of Lake County Florida, from the City of Clermont to Wm.
