Clermont was held at the city hall, Friday, December
3, 1954.
The meeting was called tG @rder at 7:00 P. M. with the

Sickler arid Olivembap. Absent:. Konsler. Mayer B0yd,

Clerk Johnson read the petetions .~ canidates ~Qr city
0~fices to be ~illed in the General Election to be held
December 14, 1954.
M0t,icn was made by Sickler, sec0nded by Olivenbaum, and
carried, that the petetions read by clerk JohnsGn be declared
in ~rder, that the canidates presented therein be declared
duly quali~ied, and that the clerk have the bal10t prepared
as ~ol10ws:

made, and declared to be in order.
'Fre~ H. Higby was app0inted as Clerk ~or the general
electien and Mrs. J. C. Barr, Mrs. Ralph Harper and
May Marrs as Inspectors.
M0ticn was made by Winston, seconded by Sickler, that
the City'pay Grant-Harris Drug Company the amount o~
$60.21 as rent Gn Let 14 & E23' o~ 16, B1k. 80, which
is being us~d a8 a public parking lot. The motien
carried.

MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION
A special election in the City of Clermont
shall be held in the City Hall on the Fourth Tuesday
of December, 1954, the same being December 28, 1954,
between the hours of 8:00 A. M. and Sunset, Eastern
Standard Time.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS ELECTION IS TO ELECT:
One Councilman to serve the unexpired term
of A. L. George, ending on the first regular meeting
in January, 1956, and said term beginning when duly
elected.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registration
Books for the City of Clermont will be open November
29, 1954, for the registration of voters who wish to
participate in the special election of the City of
Clermont to be held Tuesday, December 28, 1954, and
such books will be open to and including 12 A.M.,
December 18, 1954, during the reasonable business hours
of each business day.
It is not necessary for persons who are already
registered to register again, but attention is called
to the fact that registration in the County Registration
Books does not qualify a voter to participate in the
City of Clermont special election.
