REGULARLY ADJOURNED MEETING

An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of
Clermont was held at the City hall, Tuesday, August 17, 1954.
The meeting was called to order at &:30 P. M. with all
Council members present. Others present were Mayor B0~d,
City attorney Morse, Supt. Sheldon, J. B. Fullwood, Mr. Don
McCaffrey and Mr. Murray Rickle.
The minutes of the regular meeting he ld August $'~ 1954
were read and approved as read.
Mr. Winston of Dhe water committee reported that the water
tank was showing signs of having several small leaks and moved
that the Clerk write Dixie Tank and Bridge company and ask for
an inspection under the terms of their contract. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Sickler and carried.
Mr. Rickle informed the council that his firm rlesired to
open a housing project of some forty five homes, to be known
as Lake View Heights, and to be located just North of
highway 50, East of highway 27 and on Grandhighway. Mr.
Rickle submitted the proposed plat of the developement
and the matter was fully discussed. Mr. RickIe stated that
his need at this time was the assurance that the city would
make available to his project the necessary water to supply
the homes.
Motion was made by Winston, seconded bybSickler, that the
Clerk write a letter to Mr. Rickle to the effect that the
City of Clermont would make city water supply, at regular
rates, available to the homes in his proposed develpopement.
Motion carried.
Motion by Konsler, seconded byaOlivenbaum, that Tuesday,
September 7th., 1954, be set for the date of Public hearings
on the Zoning Ordinance and that the Clerk be instructed to
advertise the date the proper length of time in the local
paper. Motion carried.

Mr. Kons1er, of the Street Lighting Committee Recommended,
and moved, that street lights be installed in East avenue,
between Osceoltl Street and Highland avenue. The number of
lights installed to be that number as required by Florida
Power Corporation under their contract. The motion was
seconded by Mr. 01ivenbaum and carried. '
The matter of a new Police car was discussed and Mayor Boyd
was requested to submit prices on several makes at the next
meeting.
Motion by Kons1er, seconded by Winston, that the Clerk
be authorized to issue a check to South Lake Memorial
Hospital in the amount of $500.00, as provided in the
budget. Motion was carried.
Motion by Olivenbaum, seconded by Sickler, that the Clerk
be suthorized to issus a check in the amount of $50.00
to Ross Cantwell, city Treasurer, for services rendered,
and as provided in the budget. Motion carried.

City Hall i~ the City of Clermont on Friday, June 25, 1954,
at 8 o'clock P.M. for the consideration of a new Zoning
~dinance and Zoning Map of the City of Clermont setting
forth the xegulations, restrictions and boundaries of the
several zones of said City.
