SPECIAL MEETING

A Special meeting of the city Council of the
city of Clermont was held at the city hall,
April 13, 1953 at 7: P. M.
The meeting was called to order by Council
President Arthur George with the following
members present: Winston, Sickler, Meeker.
Absent Konsler.
Mr. Loomis and Mr. Barley, Councilmen from
the city of Winter Garden were also present,
as well as Mr. Hagy, representative of South
Eastern Communications.
In the absence of Clerk Johnson the minutes
were recorded by Mr. E. G. Winston.
Mr. Loomis and Mr. Barley stated that they
wpuld like to obtain permission from the city
of Clermont to use their radio frequency temporarly,
as they must act prior to Mar. 1st. in order to take
advantage of "matching funds' offered by Civil
Defence. Mr. Barley stated that Mr. HagJ' had informed
them that Clermont would be agreeable to the use of
their frequency and in view of this statement had
received an order for three units from Winter Garden.
Mr. Loomis stated that Mr. Hagy had stated that
Clermont had given such permission.
Motion by Sickler, seconded my Meeker, that the city
of Winter Garden be allowed to come in on our band
with a 10 watt car station and a 60 watt main station,
with the gareement setforth in a letter that if the 60
watt station interferes with Clermont's radio operation
that Winter Garden will immediately take the necessary
steps tomobtain a frequency of their own.
Motion ca rried.
The Clerk was instructed to write a letter to the
city of Winter Garden giving them permission as
outlined in the preeeeding motion.
Motion Meeker, second Sickler that meeting adjourn.
