The Adjourned regular meeting of the city CO~Ul6il of
the city of Clormont was held at the city hall, July
15, 1952.
The moeting was called to order by Council president T. C.
Cork, Jr. at 7:30 P. M. with all council members present.
Also present wero Mayor Higby; cSupt. Sheldon and Police
Chief Brooks.
The minutes of the meeting held July 1; 1952 were read by
the clerk and approved as read.
Mr. Winston reported that the pump had beon installed at
the new wollo
Mr. George recommended that propert owners having leases
on lake frontage be required to keep that part of the lake
front under lease properly cleaned and tended and that if
they fail to do so the lease be canceled and any boathouses
docks and 00, forth be r0moved from the property by the city.
He further recoT.1mended that wher0 property o'~ors have building
or docks upon lake front property that they b0 required to
keep such property properly cleaned and tended or that they
be instructed to removed such buildings or docks from city
property. It was decided to get legal opinion on this matter
before taking any action.
Mr. George recommended that the city do not do any further
work on the South end of Diston streot until they are able
to obtain a contract price for the complete job; in order
that the city and the interosted property owners will know
exactly what the cost will be and the manner of street
pr'oposed.
Mayor Higby reported that in his opinion the Police force was
functioning in harmony /
Motion by Meeker, seconded Winston; that th0 city secure
bids for the eroction of the pump nous0; said bids to be
in the offico of the clerk by the next regular m0eting.

authorized to draw a check in the amount of 15,000.00 on the
interest and sinkin~ fund for the redemption of refunding

b0 informed that the local D~~ will be permited to hold
rummage sale in C10rIDont on date requested. Motion carried.
