SPECIAL MEETING

A special meeting of,the c'ity council was held at the
city hall, 0ctObehct2, 1951 at 10:00 A. M.
The meeting was called to order and presided over by
Council President E. G. Winsotn with the following
mv~bers present. McQuistion, George, Cork, Jr. and
Ferguson; Mayor Nagel was also present.
Motion by Cork, Seconded by Ferguson ahd unanamously ca
carried that the city attorney draw up an Ordinace
adopting the budget for the next fiscal year in the amount
of i //~, ..1,/.2&, /) ~ and setting the millage as, follows:
9 mills for operations and 6 mills for debt service, and
that 50% of the cigarette tax for the next fiscal year
be set up in a Capital Investment fund and 50% be used for
maintainenc~, or general operations,.
It was unanamously decided that a new heating plant would
be installed in the city hall and that up to $2,500.00 from
the present reserve would be used for that purpose.
The clerk was instructed to ask heating concerns for bids
on the installation as soon as Mr. Winston had furnished him
with a sketch of what was wanted.

Motion by Cork, seconded by George, and carried that meeting
adjourn.
