Mayor Nagel further stated that all four tires on the police car
were in need of rp.placernent.

fir~t grade tires, size 600/16. It being unde~stood, however, that
the. city reserve tt.e right to reject any, or all, bids. Mot. Carried.
Mr ~ T. C. Cork, .Sr., came in at t.h i A time and was askp.d to state hi 5
business. Mr. Cork stated that he \'las representing D. H. I'~oore,
re~arding the business property tax or Roes Apoliances, and the
business personal property tax o,f Dr. 1'~. .L. Ju~tice. Mr. Cork
further stated that it was the opinions of Mr.. Moore and Dr. Justice
tr.at the valuations ~laced on their personal oroperties were entirely
too higl1t and ttat they were que some adjust.ment. A general discussi\.#~;
of the nersonal property tax situation followed.': ,

personal !)roperty of Dr. r.1. L. Justice be reduced to $300.00, inasmuch'
as Dr. Justicp. had made oath thAt tr.e value ir auestion would not
exceed trat amount. Votion carried. .

valuation on tl.e ?ropp.rty of Eva Jackson (lots 6 to 9 incl.
Pincrest subdivision) be reduced f.-o t.he value of the lots,
as tr-e value of a non existant house had been included through
error. Kotion ca~~ied.

Motion by Cork, s~conded by McQuiston, that the Clerk be in~t~liet~~
to invest. $11,100.00 in Goverment bonds, "F" series. Such bonds .
to be ~aid.for from the interest and sinking fund and pl~ced in
tr.e safety deposit box at the Citizens Bank of Clermont, as
the $10,000.00 reserve required under our rebonrling agreement.
This motion replaces the motion cArried in thn meetin~ of June
19th. wherein the Clerk was instructed to purchase bonds only
in tr.e amount of ~.lO.OOO.OO., and such motion :if:.' herewith
rescinded. Motion carried.

Irwin Trust Compan~~, in the am.ount of ~714.50 be deposited in
the interest and sinking fund, and that a check for a like
amount be drawn on tbe interest ani minking fund, payable to
Mrs. Robert Riley, and mailed to Mr.~lichael K. Irwin, of
Chi('r;L~)' ) 3 f?uyment in full for 1927 6% Clermont Bond #21.

Bond furnished by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty
Company, covering th~ loss, or misplacement, of 1927 6%
Clermont Bond 21, be placed in the safety deposity box
