M!UUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETDTG OF THE
CITY Corr~CIL, held at the city hall
June 14, 1951. ,

The meeting was called to order by council President
E. G. Winston at 7:30 P~ M. with the following councilmen
present:T. Co Cork, Jr., B. K. Ferguson and W. II"
:McQuiston. Absent: C. R. Re,ed.

Minutes of the regular meeting of June 5, 1951 were
read and approved as read.
The council immediately uent into a general discussion
perta~nin~ to the financial condition of the city.
Chairman Winston gave comparative figures of actual
receipts and disbursements with those set forth in the
budget. The result disclosed the city to be in good
financial Qondition and within their budget.
Attorney Morse arrived at this time.
r/Totion by Cork, seconded by UcQuiston that clerk Johnson
authorized to dra~.Jl check on the interest and sinking fund,
in the al!lount of ~);r>;025.00, and that same be deposited
to the coupon account in the Bitizens bonk of Clermont; for
the payment ,of interest on bonds falling due July 1st., 1951.
Motion carriedo
Motion by Ferguson, secondeq by McQuiston that city clerk'
be authorized to use up to (i5,000.00 for the purchase of
Clermont bonds, dated 1950; at, or below, par. This
authority extended until Nove~ber 1,1951, only.

instruc~ed to obtain information relative to Gove~~ent bonds,
in order to deterrnine those best suited to the needs of this
city, takin~ into consideration both.the rate of interest
and the time-for-liquidation feature. lire Jo~~son TIas requested

llotion by Ferguson~ seconded by Cork that clerk Johnson
inform the city tax assessor, by letter, that the council
nust have the tax rolls of the city of Clerr~ont for 1951,
not later than July 1'6: 1951. Uotion carried.
Hotion by Cork, seconded by Ferguson that the motion of the
meeting on t!ay If.. relative to the non-licensinG 'of the
Kern-Bronson p~acesJbe rescinded due to its lack of clarity.

department be instructed to, close the socalled Bronson-Kern
apartMent located on lots 8 and Morth half of 6, block 81,
City of Cler.clont, due to the unsafe and unsanitary conditions
in accordance TIith tho ordiances of this Citv; and that
further license for the operation of this apartment shall not
be issued by the City of Clermont unt~.',l said apartmont has
boen repaired and sanitary conditions provided, and such
repairs and sanitary conditions are approvod by tho State
Hotel Co~iBsion. l~tion carried.
