~rrNUTES OF THE REGULAR AD30URNED ME~TING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
held at the City Hall, Tuesday May 16, 1950.
Meeting called to order 7:30 P.M. by Vice President E.G.
Winston. Also present, R M Castner, W H McQuistion and C R
Reid councilmen. Acting Mayor A M 30hnson, Marshall Anderson
Fire Chief Sheldon, Atty Morse and J B Fullwood.
Miss Stella Thompson asked council to remedy a parking s~tuation
by her property.
koved by Mr McQuistion, three car spaces be marked one hour
parking on the west side of West Ave. from Montrose South.
Seconded by Mr Castner, motion carried.
Burke Chester stated they are spraying one night each week for
mosquito control, and that they are waiting for a mist sprayer
to spray for gnats.
Mr Castner offered for adoption
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE USE OF PARATHION
SPRAY or dusting materials having Parathion
therein, in any amount, within the territorial
boundries cr the City of Clermont; providing
fer penalties for violation of this ordinance.
moved by Mr Castner, seeonded by Mr Reid that the Ordinance be
adop~ed and when put to vote motion carried. Moved by Mr
Castner seconded by Mr Reid that the rules be waived and the
Ordinance read a second time for Title only. Motion carried
unanimously. Moved by Mr Reid that the rules be further
waived and the Ordinance be read a third time, seconded by Mr
Castner and carried. Thereupon the Ordinance was read in full
and upon passage of the same, Roll Call Vote with the following
results. Ayes, Mr Castner, Mr McQuistion, Mr Reid. Nay...none.
The Ordinance was passed, title as stated and was ordered
recorded in the Ordinance Book under number 97. A copy in
full appears in this book following these minutes.
Moved by Mr Reid, seconded by Mr Castner, meeting adjourn to
May 23, 7:30 P.M. to discuss the Bond Issue, Budget and the
recreation program. Motion carried.

Minutes of the Adjourned Meeting of the City Council May 23/50.
Meeting called to order 7:30 PM by Vice President EGW1nston.
Also present, RMCastner, WHMcQuistIon, CRReid, AMJohnson and
Ci ty Atty I F Morse. Mr HodgES of Van Ingen Co of Miami.
Moved by Mr Castner that the Refunding Plan of Mr Hodges of
Van Ingen & Co to refund the City Bond Indebtedness as of
Jan 1, 1951 at 3~~ be rejected and that the City will not
consider any refunding plan on an interest basis of more than
310 and a three point fee. Seconded by Mr McQuistion, motion
carried.

Moved by ~~ Reid, Council appropriate $250.00 for Recreation
program for one month of the summer. That is, supervise Legion
Ball games, Tennis and swimming, provided a program is
submitted. ~Seconded by Mr McQuistion. Motion carried
