MI1IDTES CF 1~ REGULAR ADJOURNED M~ETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
Held at the City Hall, Tuesday March 21, 1950.
President A M Johnson called the meeting-to order 7:30 P. M.
Also present, councilmen R M Castner, W H McQuistion, C R Reid
and E G Winston. Mayor H T Williams, City Atty I. F. Morse,
City Engineer S L Zelazo, Marshall R F Anderson, Fire Chief
Sheldon and J B Fullwood.
Moved by Mr Castner that City employ a Registered Surveyor to
run a line and determine the division line between Blocks 88 &
89. Secondedl by Mr Winston and c'arried.
Mr Etheredge spoke of the unsanitary condition back of the
Lakeview Hotel. Mr Morse to write Mr Zinsser to remedy the
situation. Also to write Mr Kern regarding the unsanitary
condition on his property in the City.
May~ Williams requested the traffic light be replaced on
Montrose and Seventh Sts as soon as possible .

Mr Winston offered the following resolution for adoptione
"Be it resolved by the City Council of the City cf Clermont,
F~orida that the Mayor and G1erk ~ said City be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to make, execute and deliver
to the state Road Department a quit claim Deed, or quit claim
deeds in favor cf the State of Florida conveying all right, ,
title and interes't of said Clty cf C1ermont in and to any and
all lands now owned ,by the Oity of Clermont, required for
right of way for said State Road 50." Seconded by Mr
McQuistion and carried. -
Moved by Mr Castner that Lake Shore Lease be granted o. H. and
Evelyn Englund, for all lands lying South of Lake Drive, North
of low water mark of Lake Minnehaha and between the ex~ended
East and West boundries of lot 153, Clermont Heights,
accord,ing to the Official flLap of the City <f Clermont. Seconded
by Mr VVinston and carried.
Moved by Mr Winston that Engineer Zelazo employaprofessional
Crew to clean out the Water Tank and paint the inside if
necessary-, and to Contact Dixie Tank and Bridge Co. first.
seconded by Mr Castner and carried.
Moved by Mr Reid Fire Chief Sheldon get the water tank on the ~
Crash Truck repaired. Seconded by Mr McQuistion and carried.

Moved by Mr Castner that two fire plugs be installed, Anderson -
and Bowman Sts. Seconded by Mr Reid and carried.
Moved by Mr Reid that the piece of property back of the homes
of Bob Whitney and Wm Oswalt, referred to by Mr Stokes, be
settled for $100.00 back taxes, and sold to Jessie Whitney.

WHEHEAS, during the past sever:)l years C. Haro.].d Hippler,
of Eustis, Florida, has been diligently working in the interests
of a 11 municipalities of the Stcte .,f Florida, was one of the
founders of the Lake County League of Municipalities and has
been recognized by the cities 'Jf the State of Florida by being
elected President of the state Lwague in 1949; and,
WHEREAS, C. Harold Hippler has been a constont worker
for the best ~ntcrests of all municipalities of the state and
has been of great help to this city during his term as President,
therefore,
BE IT HESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Clermont in RegulDr Session this ?lst day of ~~rch, 1950, do
dedicate this page of its minutes in appreciation of the work
and untIring efforts of C. HAHOLD EIPPLl-:H for and in behalf of
all cities and towns in the State of Florida and that the orig-
inal hereof be forv:arded to him and a copy spre0d upon the
minutes of this meetinq.
