at the City Hall, Tuesday Jan 3, 1950.
Meeting called ot order by Vice President A. M. Johnson
7:30 P. M. Also present, F B Roe, G A Nash and F. G Winston
councilmen. R M Castner acting Mayor, H T Williams, F S
Bliven, Axel Olivenbaum, C R Reid, Marshall R F Anderson,
City ongineer S L ~elazo, City Atty I F Morse, Mr H W, and
lVils on Sheppard, auditors.
Moved by Mr Winston, seconded by Mr ~ash that the bill fa~
Wolfe and Konsler, for installing Booster Pump be paid.

Library report. Rr Roe asked to completo repairs.
r.rayo:.~' s report. Mr Gastner read a letter from Mr Harper in
which he thanked the Council and City emp10yoes for their
cooperation during his two years as Mayor. Mr Harper also
hoped that in the near future Clermont would be able to have
road repairs, sewage for the business district, and additional
water supply.
Police report and Fire Chief reports read.
Engineer reported Bridge repairs by Legion Center were under way.

Auditors report read with very much interest.
Moved by Mr Roe, Mr Morse draw up resolUlcion to cancel taxes as
listed on Auditors report, in the amount of $2Il.10, and for
Sanitary Privies, $44.50. Seconded by Mr Winston and carried.
Moved by Mr NaSh, seconded by Mr Roe and carried that request
granting lease to Sun Chevrolet be accepted.
Moved by Mr Winston, seconded by MI' Nash Audit be accepted.
Carried.

appreciate tho reference books mentioned by Mr Morse.
Mr Roe and Mr Nash stated they had enjoyed Horking with the
Mayor and councilmen these past two yea~s, and will co-
operate with the new officers where ever possible.

Mr Williams gave oath of office to Mr Bliven, Tax Assessor,
Mr Axel Olivenbaum Treasurev, r.~r C R Reid and Mr rJ H McQ,uistion
councilmen.

Mr Castnor moved that the Council unanimously elect Mr Johnson
president, Seconded by Mr Winston and carried. Clork cast one
ballot forMr Johnson as president of the Council for the ensuring
year. ,.
Mr Winston nominated Mr Mc~uistion Vice president. Mr McQuistion
declined. Mr Castner nominated Mr Winston Vice president, secc~dc
by Mr Mcl.:{,uistion. Movod by Mr Reid, seconded by Hr Castner
nominations be closed. Carried. Clerk cast one ballot for Mr
Winston for Vice President of the Council for the ensuing year.
Council immediately went into executive session with the
following results.
Hrs Barnes retained as City Clerk at the salary of ~~200. per month
Mr Zelazo as en,sineer on Q :month to I+l(l'ntlJ basin, salar~r $250.
per month.
Mr Morse reemployed as

Koved by Mr Winston, seconded by Mr Castner, City
appropriate $1500.oJ for uniforms for Mr Anderson and
Mr Kie, and the uniforms to remain the property of the
City. Motion carried.fuoved by Mr McQuistion, soconded
by Mr Winston that the Citizens Bank ~ Clermont be
depository of the City funds for 1950. c'arried.
Moved by Mr Gaatne~ that Mr Sheppard be emplo1ed as City
Auditor for 1950, with the fee not to exceed $500.
Seconded by Mr Winston and carried.
Moved by Mr Winston, seconded by Mr Castner that Bond
fcr~" Ci ty Clerk, Treasurer and Marshall be purchased
from Stokes & Fields. Carried.

Discontinue services of Black Laboratories. Clerk to
so infonn them. Motion carried.
r,ioved by Mr Castner, seconded by Mr McQuistion and carried
that a statement be published in the ClormontPress stating
that anyone who wished may examine the Annual Audit, any
day during business hours.
Moved by Mr Winston, seconded by Mr Castner and carried that
the bills be paid when funds are available.
