MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
Held at City Hall, Tllesday Septemb.er 20, 1949.

Mrs G E Short re~l1ested the rezoning of their property to
bllsiness zoning. COWlcil agreed to look into the matter.
lfr Harper 1nstrllcted to app,oint an adjllstment board.
st Island on 12th past Geo Nagel and an 12th and ~ehah8
to be oleared of shrllbbery.
Moved by. Mr Nash seconded by 1Ir Johnson that Permit Fee be
waived ~i for addition of lallndry room to the rear of the
Clinic. Motion oarried.
Lake Highlands wish permission to improve street and build a
dook at the foot of Knapp st. ME' Harper to take matter Itp
with Dr Fox and make report at next meeting.
Moved by Mr Johnson that the Dock in front of Lake Highlands
Hotel be condemned as l1l1fit for pllblio use. and Mr White be
notified by registered mail he has 30 days to remove it,
inolllding the piles, or City will remove it and charge him
oost. Seoonded by Mr Winston and carried.
lIayor to write for information on insurance rates if City
employ reglllar fllll time fireman.
Moved by .Mr Nash, Mr Winston have 100 copies of the revised
Zoning Ordinance printed and sell oopies. Sloonded by Mr
Bash and carried. City
MOved by Mr Winston seconded by Mr Johnson that Mr HOllse be
paid $50. additional for extra work Qompiling the Tax Roll.
Mot ion carried.
MOved by Mr Johnson that Mr Zelazo's, reoommendations regarding
school traffic be adopted in its entirety, and that he be
c-ommended far the interest eJEpressed 1m a pr03ect ollts1de of
his reglllar dllties. Seconded by ur Nash and carried. Moved
by Jr Winston seconded by 1Ir .liehnson that Mr Zelazo have
signs made for the oolored Bchool as well. So ordered.
lloved by lIr Winston seoonded by Mr Nash, Mr Zelazo be
authorized to order one Mathews and one Kenne;y Fire Hydrant
so that the present hydrants oan be removed and worked an,
one by one. Motion carried.
