MINUTES OF THE REGULAR 1ffiETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD
At City Hall, Tuesday July 5th, 1949.
Meeting called to order by President R. M. Castner, 7:30
PM., also ~ esent A M Johnson, G A Nash, and E G Winston
councilmen. Mayor H R Harper, City Atty I F Morse, City
Supt A G Cole, Marshall Wm Kie and J B Fullwooa.
Minutes of the regular meetings of June 7th and 21st read
and approved.
Mayor's report read.
Atty Morse suggested the Council accept the Tax Roll as.
turned in by the Tax Assessor, with corrections noted, and
Clerk to send notices to all whose assessments were reaised.
~oved by Mr Nash seconded by Mr Winston that the Council set
a night to go over the tax roll. Motion carried and Tuesday
July 12th 7:30 P M. time set.
Police report read.
Councilmen aggee to the use of the Tennis Court for a dance
fer the Clermont young folks Wed. July 6th.

HATTERS RELATING THERETO: PROVIDING PENALTY FOR
VIOLATIONS THEREOF. was read in full. Moved by Mr Johnson
seconded by ~lr TIinston that the ordinance be adopted, and when
put to Vote motion carried. Moved by Mr Winston, seconded
by Mr Johnson that the rules be waived, and the ordinance
read the second time by Title only, motion carried
unanimously. After thesecond reading, Mr Marsh moved that
the rules be further waived and that tne Ordinance be read
a third time, seconded by Mr JOhnson, and c~rried. Thereupon
the Ordinance was read in full and upon passage of same the
roll was called with the following results. Ayes, Mr Castner
Mr Nash, l~r Johnson and Mr Winston. Noes, none. Absent
r.Ir Roe. The Ordinance was passed, title as stated and was
ordered recorded in the Ordinance Book under No 87. A copy
in full appears in this book following these minutes.

AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL NON-RESIDENT SALESMEN,
canvassers petitioners and solicitors of subscriptions
to or for all publications toregister in the 6ity
of Clermont; prescribing manner and requirements of
registering and other matters Eelating thereto, was
read in full. ~oved by Mr Johnson seconded by Mr Nash
that the Ordinance be adopted, and when put to -Vote
motion was carried. Moved by Mr Nash, seconded by Mr
