MINUTES OF THE REGULAR 1lfEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD AT
CITY HALL Tuesday February 1, 1949.
Meeting called to order by President R. M. Castner 7:30 P.M.
Also present, A. M. Johnson, G A Nash, F B Roe, E G Winston,
Mayor H R Harper, City Atty I F Morse., City Engineer A G Cole
Marshrll C A Mattson and J B Fullwood.
Minutes of the January 4th and 18th meetings read and approved.

Moved by Mr Nash seconded by Mr Roe that the Resolution presented
by Mr Cork, for Inland Groves Corporation which requests that
the City close the right-of-way from th~ West line of 12th Street
to the end of Lake Drive, be adopted. Carried.
Moved by Mr Winston, seconded by Mr Nash that the V F W be
allowed ~o clean block 100 and use it for a Fair the week of
Fobruary 7th. Motion carried.
Mayor to correct parking conditions on Montrose and 7th Streets/
Mr Nash and Mr Winston asked to complete settlement of the
Fryo-Thompson lease.
Moved by Mr Johnson, seconded by Mr Roe that DuVal and Mc
Lean be asked to remove fence around blocks 113 and 122, within
30 days. Motion carried.
Moved by Mr Nash seconded by Mr Roe that the City take $48.00
space in the League of Municipalities advertising sheet. Carried.
Moved by Mr Nash seconded by Mr Johns on t1-'a t Whe Baptist Church
be granted permission to erect three signs of direction to the
church. Carried. ~
fuoved by Mr Johnson seconded by Mr Winston that 2000 of the
Chamber of Conooerce stickers be purchased for $4.20. Carried.
Mr Roe asked Mr Cole to have the balance of the Cemetery grounds
EB cleaned up and planted to grass.
Moved by Mr noe seconded by Mr Nash that the two Bonds No
452 and 453 be purchased at 96%. carried.
Moved by Mr NaSh, seconded by Mr Winston that the meeting adjourn.
