MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING CF THE CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT CITY HALL, Wednesday November 17, 1948.
Meeting called to order 7:30 P. M. by President R.M.Castner.

Fire Chief H M Cole and Marshall C A Mattson.

Curtis Reid, representing the Jay C's, stated that it would
be possible to build one Tennis Court in Kehlor Park, at a
very reasonable rate if we accept the offer of the State Road
Dept. before its machinery is moved. Motion made by Mr Roe
seconded by Mr Nash that the City pay up to $300. for one
court providing the Jay C's finish this project. Motion carried.
Bids for well equipment were read from the following -
Layne-Atlantic
Wolfe & Konsler
~ E Fishback & Sons
arm & Home Machinery Co.
Mr Castner stated the Council would consider these at an
executive meeting after the regular meeting, and notify
the firms.
Motion made by Mr Nash, seconded by Mr Brice that the Busha
and Wysor taxes be corrected on the Roll. Carried.
Motion made by Mr Thompson, seconded by Mr Brice that all
church property be City tax free whether used for church
purposes or not. Motion carried.
Moved by Mr Brice seconded by Mr Nash that the property
East of Highway 27 be put on the tax roll at the "Debt
Service" millage only. Motion carried.
Motion made by Mr Roe, seconded by Mr Brice that the City
pay for a stove for the Community building, not to exceed
$70.00. Motion carried.
Motion made by Mr Brice, seconded by Mr Nash that Mr Kreider
re-write the Auto Insurance on the City Vehicles. Carried.
~oved by Mr Nash, seconded by Mr Thompson that the old mowing
machine be sold to C A Mattson for $20.00. Motion carried.
Motion made by Mr Brice, seconded by Mr Thompson that the
regular meeting adjourn.
