C. Addington asked for a reduction of his personal property taxes. E. W. Ashton asked for a reduction in assessed value of lots 10-11-12 and 13, block 8 Lp..ke Sunnyside Unit. M Winger protes~he valuation o~ propert~~ as "The ilton House.~y No 60' of ~~-17 an~ of 11-12- block 73. Councilmen considered these requests and set an agreeable valuation on each. Mr illld Mrs Halsted asked the council the ruling on keeping chickens in the City Limits, and were quoted a paragraph of the City Ordin~lce, and asked to keep a sanitary condition there. The Layne-Atlantic representative came in:md answered various q,uestions regarding the pump p..ndtest ne:eessary. Motion made by LTr Brice, seconded by I.'l"r TholllJ.Json and unanimously agreed by the Council, that the employ the Layne- Atlantic Co. to make the test. at the aPl)roximate rate of $15.00 per hour, taking about ten hours. :Mr Harper read -a letter written by Mrs Rose complaining about the odor of the chickens and the cow owned by I~ Sullins. . Clerk to write HI'S Rose the Ordinance on this. Mr Castner called an executive session. Motion made by Iirr Nash seconded by ltlfI' Brice that the City rent a snfety de]?osi t box in the Dank for MrCoon' s use in keeping the cit;y bond coupons.
