REGULAR MEETING 0F THE CITY COUNCIL HELD AT CITY HALL
Tuesda~, January 20, 1948. ?:30 P. M.
Meeting called to order by President R. M. Castner. .
Other Councilmen present, J. V. Brice, G. A. Nash, F. B.
Roe and T. F. Thompson. Mayor M. _R. Harper, City ,
Atto~ney Irving F. Morse, Marshall C. A. Mattson, City
Supt. A. G. Cole, and J. B. Fullwood.
Mr Roe reported the affairs of the Community House were
satisfactorily taken care of. City to pay ~25.00 per
month for four months to care-taker Louis Hornberg.
Mr Morse to advise whether a Councilman should be
appointed to the Hos pi tal Board.

Mr Morse asked to inspect Insurance Polocies and make
recommendations.
Mr Wilkins, owner ~ the Lake Highlands Hotel to be
permitted to put up signs on the eame corners as those
of the Trailer Park. The signs on the corner of 5th and
Minnehaha Ave where the Orlando sign stands, to be moved
across the street.
Motion made by Mr Nash, seconded by Mr Brice that Mr
McQuistion be given salary check for the month of January.
Motion carried.
Motion made by Mr Roe Seconded by Mr Nash that Mr Caffee
be given permission to operate a Trailer camp on

Marshall Mattson spoke on the danger ~ allowing young
boys the use of fire arms. Mr Harper and Mr Mattson to
work out a solution. .
Motion made by Mr Roe seconded by Mr Brice that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
