~IlJ:NUTES OF THE REGULAR ADJOURNED MEBTING OF THE CITY COUNCITJ
HELD AT THE CITY HALL, F-iIDAY, FEBRUARY 7th, 1947, 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by President n.r,~.Castner,
other Cou!1cilmen present being J.V.Brice, J.F.Macdonald, and
T.F.Thompson. Wayor McQuistion, Marshal C.E.Sullins, Ci~y
Attorney Irving F. r':orse" City Engineer A.G. Cole, and City
Cle rk R.F. House were . als 0 present.

Axel Olivenbaum, representing Sto~s & Pields Insuranco
Agency suggested th~ the City increase its Liability policies
at a small increase in rate. Mr. Thompson made a motion that
Bodily injury polic~ be increased to 50M/IOOM at an increase
of ~13.26 in rate. The motion was seconded by Mr. Brice, and
vlhen put to t:l vote, the motion carrie d.
The matteI' of contributing $50.00 per month tbward the
Cou.~ty Health program was carried Over to t~e next meeting.
Mr. Hac donald made a motion tha t the City contribute
$100.00 to the Athletic Field Fund, but the motion died for
want of a second.

fT. Brice made a motionAthat the vity cbntribute $25.00
to the Library Ass'n on their 1947 drive. ~lr. rffacdona1d
asked for a roll call vote, and on roll call the vote WaS as
follo\'.!s: AYES-Brice, Castner; Thompson; NOES- ~.~acdona1d;
ABSRNT- Johnson. So the motion carried~
'Yater Supt. H.r!t.Cole stat ed that he needed a man to learn
the water work, reading and repairing meters, and installing
services. The matter was tabled until the next meeting.
A.G.Cole reported he had me.asured.the 0istance to the )13
Barnes property next to t~e City Dump, and our road to the
dump cuts across the corner of his property.
He reported toat cost of Right of ~~Tay for the cross-state
Highway through Clermont wou1f amount to about ~12,000.00
and suggested that a Committee be appointed to help acquire
R/ll'!. Mr Castner appointed l'V.H.?c0,y.istion, and G.A.Nash to
help Cole get the R/W.
Jo~r. Brice IDa de a moti on, seconded by Mr. 'IhoP1pson, that t ,-
City hire a Bull-dozier to clean up around the City Dump for
about ten hours, under the supervision of A.G.Co1e. When put
to a vote, t~e motion canried.
The Building Cornnittee reported that a City Garage 1argJ3
enou8h to take care of City trucks and materials would TIe ed to.
be at least 35X60 and would cost about ?~6,OOO.00

Mayor ~cQuistion reported that Mr. Hornberg would act
as Caretaker for th8 Community Building for $15.00 per month.
rf.r. Brice made a moti on, seconded by Hr. Thompson and carrie d,
that r~r. Hornborg be paid $1.5 .00 per month as caretaker, until
further notice.
Mr. Macdonald nad,) a mot. on that Henry Butt's bill for
work on the jail cell be paid when he furnishes an itemized
bill. The' motion was seconded by Mr. Tnompson, and when put
to a vote the motion carried.
