MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNDIL HELD AT
THE CITY HALL WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, \1~46, 7:30 P.M.

The meeting was oalled to order~ Vioe president
H.C.BroWn, other Counoi1men present being A.M.Johnson and
Jas. Maodona1d. C.W.Gaines oame in a few minutes 1ater~
Engineer A.G.Co1e, Street & Water Supt H.M.Cole, Street
man J.B.Fullwood, Mayor W.H.MoQuistion, ~Arsha11 C.E~
Sullins, and City Clerk R.F.House, were also present.
Minutes of the meeting August 6th were read and
approved
Mr. Johnson made a motion, seconded by ~r. Macdonald
that the action of the City Attorney on the sewage matter
be approved, and when put to a vote, the motion carried~
City Engineer Cole read his report. In it he reo-
commended that the building on lot 5, blook 8, Lake
Sunnyside Unit be stopped. ~e Counoi1 left it up to
Mr. Cole to see jhat the building was properly constructed,
or to stop the work.
A .G.Cole reported two floats built for the recre-
ation Dept. at the beach on Lak Minneola at a oost of
$105.00. Mr. Maodonald made a motion, seoonded by Mr. G
Gaines, and oarried, that this bill be paid.
H. M. Cole reported that larger transformershad been
installed at the water pumps, so that both could be oper-
ated at the same time. The Florida ~IXK Power Corp.
recommended that a reduoed voltage starter switoh be
installe~ by a 1st olass Eleotrioian. No. 205K1 reoommende~/
Mr. Johnson Made A motion, seconded by Mr Ganes, that
$25.00 be donated toward the Resuscitator at the Clinic. ~i\,U',Q

The City Clerk was authorized to reimburse A.G.Co1e
$4.90 for expense on trip to OOala on sewage matter.
Mr. Gaines made a motion, seconded by Mr. Johnson that
the City Clerk be authorized to hire an assistant for the
balanoe of the year @ $100.00 per month. The motion oarrie~.
An estimated budget for the next year was submitted
by the City Clerk, whioh was looked over, bu t aotion
deferred until the next regular meeting.
Mr. Maodonald announoed that the Amerioan Legion
Was planning a Labor Day Ce1ebra~ion, and asked that the
road leading to the Reoreation Center be oleaned up~
There being no further business at this time, the
Counoil adjourned to meet at the oall of the president.
