The meeting was called to order by its President, Mr. Roe.
Counei1men present were: Mr. Floyd Roe, Mr. G1yde Gaines,
Mr. H. G. Brovm, and Mr. Jim Me:Dona1d. Others present were
W. H. McQuistion, H. M. Cole, and R. L. Goon. Visitors
were Mr. J. w. Collins and Mr. Jack Fite, representing the
Dixie Tank and Bridge Company of Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. J. W. Collins was called before the council. He discussed
the condition of the City water tank and described all of
the technical aspects of its condition. He then described the
work that his company ~ou1d and would do under contract.
A Motion was made by Mr. McDonald, seconded by Mr. Brown, that
the Water ,Gow.mittee be empowered to make the necessary arrange-
ments for the contract and its enforcement and for the financing
of the work to be done on the City water tank. The motion carried.
A Motion was made by Mr. Brown, seconded 'by Mr. Gaines, that,the
City put a price of $150.00 on Lot 105, Clermont Heights' and that
the lot be sold at that price to Mr. Ghar1es Roe with provisions
in the deed to show that the sale price would be given back to
Mr. Charles Roe if the Highway Right of Way passes through the lot.
The Contract is subject to the Right of Way. The motion c'arried.
A Motion was made by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Ml!". McDonald, that
Rose M. Sharpe be retained as caretaker' of the City Parks with a
'monthly salary of $10.00. The motion carried.
A Motion was made by Mr. Gaines, seconded by Mr. Brown that the
Council adjouFn to meet again at the call of its President, Mr.
Roe. The motion carried.
