12-04-1945 Regular Meeting CITY OF CLERM om lVlINUTES CF WE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE CITY HALL, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1945 at 7: 30 p.m. ~ .., The 1m eting was called to order by President F. B. Roe, other Councilmen present being H. C. Brown, C. W. Gaines, R. M. Castner, R. M. Stackhouse. Mayor F. H. Higby, City Clerk W. H. McQuistion were also present. The minutes of the previoUS meeting3 he Id on NO'Vamber 6 and December 1, 1945, were read and approved. Mr. George Nagel spoke in reference to Changes in zoning laws arid asked for a spe cial meeting be called to cons ider sarne. A metion was made by Mr. Gaines, seconded by Mr. Brown, that the Council meet with the Boosters Club in reference to changes in zoning ordinance, December 10, 1945, at 7:30 p.m. The motion carried. A motion was made by Mr. Gaines, seconded by Mr. Stackhouse, that audit by Mr. Williams be accepted and bill for same pa id. The motion carried. A motion Mr. Brown, that to make charges off of parkwa.y. was made by Mr. Stackhouse, seconded by Superintendent of Water Cole be authorized for hauling rubbish oth6r than what comes The moti on carried. . A motion was made by Mr. Brown and seconded by Mr. Gaines that Womanus C~ub be ~sked to cooperate with the City in asking merchants to see that the street in front of their property be cleaned once each day. The motion carried. A motion was made by Mr. Stackhouse, seconded by Mr. Castner, that four new fire extinguishers be purchased, two for the fire truck and two for the street truck. The motion carried. A moti on was made by Mr. Stackhouse, S9conded by Mr. Castner, that Wolfe Bros. be instructed to grade and clay street as proposed ata price not exceeding $2000.00, .$1000.00 to be paid when work is completed and balance in one year and have Ci~ Attorney prepare contract to have roaliway at least 18 foot road with an 8 .inch packed clay surface. The motion carried. A motion was made by Mr. Gaines, seconded by Mr. Castner, that the bills shown on the attached sheet be paid when money is available. The motion car~ied. CITY OF CLEIUWNT AMENDMENT TO MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE CI'I'Y HALL; TUESDAY; DECEMBER 4, 1945, AT 7:30 PoMo ~ ~ The city Council examined the petitions of those qualifying for the~respective offices which they have filed and upon examination all petitions were found in order and upon duly made seconded, it was unanimously carried that the following names be placed on ballot of the General Election of the City to be held on December II, 1945. Wo H. McQuistion, Mayor; George M. Brady, Treasurer; Go A. Nash, Tax Collector; Ro Mo Castner, Albert Johnson, and James Macdonald for Council for two year term, two to be elected.
