MINUTES OF THE AU OURNED REGULAR MEETING HELD AT THE

F. B. Roe, other Councilmen present 'being H. C. Brown,
R. M. Castner, R.MM. Stackhouse. Mayor F. R. Higby,
City Clerk w. H. cQuistion were al~o present.
'me purpose of the meeting was to explain to citizens

resi dent F. . Roe intro duc ed Mr. H. C. Brown to the pe ople
who explained the necessary tax and then turned to the people.
There were about 100 people in attendance and after sorre very
instructive remarks were made some in favor of some tax or
other but none were definite the meeting adjourned to be
called into executive session by tte President, Mr. F. B'.
Roe.
After a very interesting meeting and every'angle'of
the tax was discu8sed~ a motion was ~ade bY Mr. Castn~,
seconded by Mr. Brown, that the proposed medium of tax-
ation be pla'ced on ballot at the election in December
and let the people decide whiCh tax they preferred. Tbe
ballot would read as fo llows: liDo you want a tax on the
following. Vote for OIl!'>: Utility, tax, Sanitary tax, Water
tax or so ~n-~any-=-~~t:m,~. II The motion carried.
There being no further business to come before
the Council, the meeting adjourned to meet again at the
