CITY OF CLERMONT
MINUTES OF THE ADJOUR1:ED REGULAR r.'~EETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE CITY HALL, TUESDAY,
JUNE 12, 1945, at 7:30 p.m.
The m00.ting was called to order by Prosident
F. B. Roe~ othor Councilmen present being H. C, Brown,
R. M. Castnor, R. M. Stackhouse and C. W. Gaines. Mayor
F. H. Higby, City Attorney Irving F, Marso, City Clerk
w. H. McQuistion, Supt. H. M. Colo were also presont.
Tho minutes of the provious meoting held on
June 5, 1945, wore road and approved.
In view of the fact tba t tho majority of the
property owners agnod the petition in accordance with
the zoning laws to change the zone of the South half of
Blocks 112 and 123 and all of Blocks 109, 110, Ill, 124,
125, 125A, 126 and. 126A, Suns ot Park, from an R-2 Mul tiplo
family district to a C-2 commercial district and further,
in view of tho fact that it is the unanimous decision of
tho members of the City Council to change tho zono .on
various other Darcels or property as described in tho
motion of a proposed amonQmant to the Zoning Ordinance
;,mblised in the Clermont Press on May 17 and 24th, 1945,
and fL~thor, in view of tho unanimous decision of the
City Council to amend Section 6 of tho Zoning Ordinance
as advertised, Mr. Gaines moved that the Presidont of
the City Council entortain a motion for the passage of
Ordinance No. 69 embodying such changes in accordanco
wi th the Chartir-of tho City and laws of the Sta to. This
'motion was seconded by Mr. Sta&house and when put to a
voto, the roll call "as as follows: Ayes - Roo, Castner,
Brown, Stackhouse and Gainos; Noes - Nono.

Gaines cloved the adoption cf the Ordinancejl which was
seconded by lira Stackhous e, and vlhen put to a vote,
the motion c[;.rried. Hr. G8.ines t.'hen moved that the rules
be waived, and the Ordinance read the seeond time by its
title only. T}l emotion Yfas seconded by Mr. Stackhouse and
carried unanimously. Aft'..:::r the second reading? Mr. Gaines
moved tha t the rule s be further waived, and tha t the Ordi-
nance be read tbe third time and placed upon its passage.
