MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEET[ NG OF WE CI TY COU N CI L
REID AT THE CITY HALL, TUESDAY, JUNE 5,19459at 7:30 p.m.
The moeting was called toorder by President F.B..
Roe9 other Councilmen present being H. C. Brown, R. M.
Castner, R. M. stackhouse and C. W. Gaines. Mayor F.H.

The minutes of the previ ous meeting he ld on
May 22,1945, wero read andaplJroved.
A moti on was ma de by Mr. Gains s, seconded by
Mr. castner9 that tllemoti.onmade ~nIvIay 1,19459
concerning a lease to the Boy Scou ts, be stri eken from
th e minut e s . Tro moti on carried.
A moti on was ma de by Mr. Brown, seconded by IVlr.
Stackhouse, tmt tho City Attorney be instructed to pre-
pare a lease on the property occupied by the Woman's
Club for 99 yo ars. Tm moti on cal~rio d.
A motion was nmde by Mr. Brovvn, soconded by Mr.
Stackhouse,- that tl1e Woman's Club pay $1.00 per :year
to the Cit y of Cle 1m ont for lease.
A motion was made by Mr. r,.ain.es, seconded by
Mr. Brown9 that a bonus of $25.00 be given to the oper-
ator Sam LaniGr for his services in cOilllection with the
cleaning of the lake. Tl1e motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Gaines, seconded by
Mr . Stackhous e, th at all property acquirod by the City
from TrUstees on which City bas advertised for sale at
$25.00 each be raised to ~50.00 each. Tl1at all property
acquired by the City from the Trusteos and previously
advortised for sale in May and June be now placod on
the opf7n market f ([' sale a t advert ised pr ico~, except
those $25.00 lots which have been raised to ~50.00,
and any local real estate brokar selling same bo paid
the us 001 5% c ommis s ion. T1n moti on carried.

lVlr. G!1i no s, that th e of fice hour s of Cit y Hall em ploye os
be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:60 p.m, from 1:30 n.m. until 5:00
p.m., Wednesdays from 8:30 to 12:00 noen for four months.
