H. Higby Geo. M. Brady G. A. Nash H. C. Brown C. W. Gaines F. B. Roe Mayor Treasurer Tax Assessor Councilman COilllci lman councilman m~en put to a vote9 the motion carried. A motion was made by Mr. Stackhouse9 seconded by Mr. Castner, that day labor be paid sixty cents per hour. Mr. Roe said that he had made inquiries for a City Clerk for next year and he believed Mr. W. H. McQuistion would accept the position. Mr. Stackhouse made a motion~ seconded by MI'. Higby, that Mr. McQuistion be hired at $150000 per month to start in Monday~ Dec- ember 18, 1944, to learn the office routine and be paid for half a month to January 19 1945. After some dis cussion on the building code, Mr. Roe apnointed on a committee Mr. Higby~ Mr. Morse and Earl Gray to draft a satisfactory code and present it at the r:1eeting in January.
