CITY OF CLERMONT
I\~INUTES OF THE SPECIAL r-~EETING OF THE CITY CoUNCIL HELD
AT THE C1TY HALL FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1944, at 5:00 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by President F. B. Rea p
other councilmen present being R. M. Stackhouse and F. H.
Higby. City Attorney Irving Morse and City Clerk R. F. House
were also present.

Mr. w. F. Williams~ who has been auditing the books for
the yea'r, s ta ted that the refunding bonds bought in should be
cancelled and Mr. Stackhouse made a motion, seconded by Mr.
Higby, that these bonds be cancelled and destroyed at the
next council meeting.

Mr. Stackhouse made a motion, seconded by Mr. Higby,
that old delinquent water accounts that are inactive he
cancelled.
An old city check issued in July, 1941, to Mrs. Shank
is still outstanding. Mr. Higby made a motion, seconded by
Mr. Stackhouse. that a duplicnte check be issued to Mrs. Shank.
Mr. Stackhouse made a motion, seconded by Mr. Higby,
that President Roe be Chairman of the Committee to reappr8ise
all property owned by the city.
Attorney Morse was instructed to amend the ordinance
on elections to clarify the meaning.
He stated that bid had been placed on property re-
verted to the state under the Murphy Act and the C~ty Clerk
was getting tha certificates lined up.
Mr. Higby made a motion, which was seconded by Mr.
Stackhouse, that the City Clerk be given authority to redeem
county and state certificates on city-owned propertyo
There being no further business at this tiMe, the
Council adjourned to meet at the call of the President.
